What do I need To Know?
We Want all our Guests to feel at home at The Lion, however to avoid misunderstandings there are a few points for you to note:
- Minimum Stay
Unless previously agreed Weekend bookings that include a Saturday must be for a minimum of 2 nights.
- Reservations & Deposit
All reservations must be accompanied by full Customer details and a £30 per room, per night, deposit. All major credit cards are accepted or payment can be made by cheque, made payable to :- The Lion Inn. Unsecured bookings, i.e. those where no payment or card details have been given by the Customer, shall be held by the Inn for a maximum of 7 days from the date of booking, after which time they may be cancelled without notice.
- Settling your Account.
We accept all major Debit/Credit Cards and Cheque payments if covered by a supporting Bank Card. If you intend leaving early on your final morning, to facilitate this, especially at busy times, let us know and you can settle your account on the preceeding evening.
- Booking in Times
Our normal times are between 4pm & 6pm, arrivals, outside these hours you must let us know, especially earlier arrivals. Our Guest accommodation has seperate, secure access and Guest are welcome to have a "Front" Door key, which will allow you to come and go as you please.
We have our own Car park to the side of the Inn
- Opening Times
- The Inn is open for Accommodation all year round, except for the nights of Chritmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
- The Lion Inn Bar is open to the Public Wednesday through Sunday Evenings & Sunday Lunchtime.
- The Dining room is open Wednesday through Sunday Evenings, booking is advisable in the High Season, essential in the Low Season. We can provide an evening meal for Staying Guests on Tuesday Evenings, however Monday night stays are only accepted on a B & B basis.
Cancellation for pre-booked accommodation must be made at least 1 week (7 days) before the date of arrival. Failure to do so will result in the Customer paying for the full cost of the booked accommodation, unless rooms can be re-sold.
The Inn is 400 years old in parts and does have Ground floor steps and restricted headroom in some areas. All rooms are located on the first floor apart from the "Bothy". However this has a step access and the Bedroom area is located on the first floor (with restricted headroom). All internal areas of the Inn are unsuitable for wheelchair access.
