A sound night's sleep at the Lion Inn

The Lion has 6 en-suite Bedrooms, all of our rooms have undergone a complete refurbishment, in each we have attempted to blend the natural charms of a 400 year old building with the very latest in style, comfort and convenience. Each room has been decorated individually; the Farrow & Ball colours of the walls harmonising with the handmade furniture and colourful, hand-woven, traditional Welsh throws. You will find the very best sumptuous "pocket sprung" Beds, luxurious bed linen and towels, together with feather and down quilts (let us know if you are allergic to feathers!). All rooms have Tea & Coffee making facilities, Flat screen TV's with FreeSat & a DVD Player (we have a huge library of DVD's). You will also find Bath Robes, a hairdrier and an Alarm with a "Dock and Charger" for your Iphone/Ipod or MP3 Player.

Accommodation at The Lion Inn is available all year round. Five rooms are in the main building, whilst the "Bothy" is in a separate converted barn, that has a mezine bedroom (restricted headroom!)

Coming & Going

Our normal booking in times are between 4 & 6 pm, if this is not convenient, no problem, but you will need to let us know. Once you have booked in you are welcome to a front door key, allowing you to come and go as you please.

Our Rooms

All our rooms (apart from the "Bothy") are situated on the 1st floor and have a separate access, the building complies to all safety standards, with Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting and Fire Escape. 400 years ago people were much shorter! some places have restricted headroom, so "mind your head" is the order of the day!.

• 1) Lafant ( Lavender) Double
  Situated in the "Old" part with sloping ceiling and beams Lafant has a Handmade 4 Poster Double Bed, a small sitting area and an ensuite Shower Room.


• 2) Parsli (Parsley) Double
  Situated at the rear in the newer part, Parsley has a Double Bed and a small seating area with French doors leading to its own Balcony with glorious views of the Valley. There is an ensuite Bath/Shower room.


• 3) Rhosmari (Rosemary) Twin
  Situated in the "Old" part with sloping ceiling and beams Rhosmari has two 3' Beds, alternatively these can be put together to make 6' Double, there is a small sitting area and an ensuite Shower Room


• 4) Saets (sage) Family Room
  Situated at the rear in the newer part, Saets has a double bed, a 3' single Bed and a small sitting area. There is an ensuite Bath/Shower room.


• 5) Thyme (Teim) Single
  Situated in the "Old" part with sloping ceiling and beams Teim has a 3' Singe bed and a second 3' single can be pulled out to make a small Twin room, there is a small sitting area and an ensuite Shower Room.


• 6) The Bothy
  Situated in the converted old Stable, The Bothy has a ground floor Shower room and Sitting/dressing room with a winding staircase to the upper Mezine level where you will find a Double Bed and a 2nd TV/Video. Upstairs has an Apex roof with a maximum headroom of 5'8"
